About Peter
Peter Ahlert is a partner in Wayne’s Tree Service and holds a New Jersey Licensed Tree Care Operator license in his own name, LTCO #565, issued by the New Jersey Board of Tree Experts. Wayne’s Tree Service is a trade name of Wayne’s Dynamite Tree Service, a registered New Jersey tree care business (NJTC Registration #806860) based at 314 Grove St in Somerville.
Peter runs production on site and brings decades of tree care and equipment experience to every job. He works alongside his son Dylan Ahlert, who took over the company in 2015 from founder Wayne Zedowski. Wayne started the business in Somerville in 1993, and today it is a multi-generational, family-run team serving homeowners and businesses across Somerset, Hunterdon, Middlesex and Union counties.
Peter writes the guides on this site from that day-to-day field work: tree removal permits, removal costs, pruning timing, emerald ash borer, what to do after a tree falls, and how to choose a licensed tree service in New Jersey.
