Tree Removal
Readington is open Hunterdon farmland with scattered woodlots, so trees grow wide and heavy with nothing to shelter them. Open ground usually means we can bring the crane in and work quickly.
Our tree removal service
With open ground around them and nothing for shelter, Readington trees grow wide and heavy. Tree service in Readington, NJ is crown balancing, crane removals, stump grinding, and storm cleanup when the wind gets a clear run.
Readington properties are big enough that the access route decides the job, so we plan it before pricing rather than after. Registered with the New Jersey Board of Tree Experts and insured for liability and workers' compensation, with Peter Ahlert as the Licensed Tree Care Operator on site.
Tree removal in Readington is usually open-ground work, which means a crane can do the lifting and the tree never has to be climbed. Pruning and crown balancing keep the wide-grown ones from tearing out a limb in a gale. Stumps are ground below grade and the brush chipped where it lands.
We provide complete residential, commercial, and municipal tree care across the township, performed by insured crews with professional equipment, including cranes and bucket trucks for the large or hard-to-reach jobs that older Readington properties often require.

Our tree removal service
A tree grown in the open carries huge side weight. We balance the crown and take out the dead and split limbs so wind has less to catch.
Our pruning service
On acreage people want the stump gone so they can mow straight over it. We grind well below grade and level the ground back off.
Grinding vs. full removal
There is room here to plant properly, including windbreaks. We choose species for exposed ground and plant them so the roots establish before the first hard winter.
More on planting
Fence lines, field edges, riding rings and building pads. This is exactly the kind of clearing we do most: timber and brush out, stumps ground down.
Our land clearing service
Open farmland gives wind a clear run, and Readington trees come down hard in a storm. Call any hour and we will come out.
Our emergency serviceReadington has the most useful exemption in our whole service area, and most homeowners here do not know about it: any tree within 50 feet of an existing residence needs no permit at all. That covers a large share of ordinary removals around a farmhouse or a yard.
For a working property there are two more that matter. Firewood cut for your own use is exempt up to three trees an acre a year, capped at 30% of the trees on the place. And woodland management is exempt only where the land has approved farmland assessment and both the plan and the WD-1 form are on file with the Tax Assessor; having a woodland plan alone is not enough, which is the detail that catches people out.

reasonable pricing and excellent services
I have used Wayne’s Tree Service on a few occasions. Dylan responded immediately and set up an appointment to discuss and survey what I needed to get done. I’m on an acre with several trees that are aging.
I’ve used Wayne’s twice and will continue to use them for my tree removals. One of the trees was in a tough location (sandwiched between my house and neighbors) and no issue bringing it down.
I have used Wayne’s tree service several times over the years. I have had nothing but an excellent experience with them. This includes price and service and communication.
Wayne’s tree service was great! We had an old growth oak tree fall in our yard after a big storm. Wayne’s tree guys showed up and quickly removed it!
I had a large oak tree removed right by the power lines, and a few oaks pruned. Dylan was great to work with, from providing a quick estimate to scheduling and performing the work.
